Promises to Keep offers specialized training to Early Childhood Educators!

PCA Georgia's Promises to Keep Training Program educates adults on public health strategies to prevent child abuse and neglect.

We understand that Early Childhood Educators have a unique opportunity not only to recognize and report abuse but to prevent abuse by strengthening families

We offer both general trainings that cover the basics of what any mandated reporter needs to know or a narrower, more in-depth discussion of topics like child sexual abuse and sexual development. The workshops listed on this page are all approved by Bright from the Start: Department of Early Care and Learning.

Kids Count on You:
Protecting Children by Strengthening Families

This video-based training was developed specifically for early childhood education and care providers (center-based or home-based caretakers). It includes information about recognizing child abuse and neglect, mandated reporting requirements, what happens when reports are made, and how to build protective factors and supports for families of young children in order to prevent child maltreatment.

Circles of Safety: A Community Approach to Prevention

Participants in the training learn to recognize and respond to sexual behaviors in children and adults that range from healthy to abuse.

Building Blocks of Healthy Sexual Development

A training for anyone who would like to better understand how prevention strategies change according to a child's stage of development.
