Resources for Parents: Bullying

Bullying can occur in schools and anywhere children interact.  Bullying is agressive behavior that is intended to cause harm or distress and occurs repeatedly over time. When the victim of bullying is a child, bullying is child abuse, regardless of the age or the role of the bully. Bullying can be physical, verbal, psychological, or sexual.

Below you will find several informational Bullying Prevention booklets.

QUICK THINK

f

PCA Georgia produces and distributes the QUICKTHINK game for use in homes, community settings, and classrooms statewide. The game teaches children how to recognize potential danger and how to handle themselves in a crisis. Reaction to the game has been so positive through the years that some communities hold annual QUICKTHINK-a-thons, bringing together children from an entire school system for a tournament.

For information about or to order the games, call 404-870-6565 in metro-Atlanta or 1-800-CHILDREN statewide.

Internet Resources for Parents:
