Our History Prevent Child Abuse Georgia was incorporated as the Georgia Council on Child Abuse (GCCA) in 1984 through the merger of two existing organizations: Parents Anonymous of Georgia (est. 1979) and the Georgia Chapter of the National Committee to Prevent Child Abuse, now known as Prevent Child Abuse America (est. 1981). GCCA chose to change the name of the organization in 2001, becoming Prevent Child Abuse Georgia. |
